The Fishing Lake
The lake was created in the late 80's by John who is still the proud owner of the beautiful fishery. The lake contains a large number of hard fighting fish including mirror carp, common carp, bream, tench, silverfish and bream. Carp have been caught into the 20lb margin and there is an elusive monster mirror weighing upwards of 20lb!
1 to 1 fishing lessons can be arranged subject to availability, please contact John for more information.
A lesson will include a couple of hours tuition; a session fishing and equiptment hire! So all you will need to bring along is warm clothes, lunch and a bit of luck!
There are opportunities to hire bicycles for plenty of cycle routes, hill walking exploring the local castle.
Owen the site manager and bailiff is a very keen fisherman and he prefers coarse fishing over the many other branches of the sport, having fished in lakes from all over the UK and other very popular and well established fisheries he has now decided to settle down here at Trapp Fishery as “nothing can beat the peace and tranquillity that this beautiful lake providesâ€. He is very enthusiastic and you will find Owen at the fishery every morning from about 09.00 hours. Owen is more than keen to pass on any fishing tips to newcomers and the more seasoned fishermen.
