Kidwelly
Kidwelly is a coastal town, ideally situated as a centre for touring West Wales, the Pembrokeshire National Park, the Gower Peninsula & the Brecon Beacons. The area is a superb mix of rolling countryside, seashore and woodland - indeed it is totally microcosmic of the rest of Wales at its finest.

The town was established in approximately 1115 AD and received its Royal Charter from King Henry I. The current population of Kidwelly is approximately 3,000 with some 30,000 tourists visiting annually.

Kidwelly is one of the oldest Boroughs in Wales with its Mayoral tradition dating from 1443. Journeying East or West, this Welsh retreat encapsulates a historical centre wherein you can steep yourself with the magic of our past times.

Kidwelly also holds of of Wales' best-kept secrets - the castle, its known as one of the finest castles in Wales and dominates the town. Kidwelly castle was built in 1106 and stands impregnably proud overlooking the River Gwendraeth, a threat to any aggressor who dared to vanquish its walls.

You must visit this special part of the British Isles, where myths and legends abound, the landscape is lush and picturesque - with splendid vistas from its estuary and natural coves.
