We don't think there are many better ways to spend an afternoon than leisurely devouring tasty sandwiches, cakes and scones - washed down with a pot of tea, or maybe a glass of fizz!
And when it comes to Afternoon Tea, you're spoilt for choice here in Carmarthenshire - and we should know, we've tried a lot of them!
If you're after a traditional experience in sumptuous surroundings, we've got plenty...
Try multi-award winning The Plough Inn Rhosmaen with its beautiful views across the Tywi Valley or the nearby Cawdor Hotel - found on the main street in the chic market town of Llandeilo and which offers a perfect pit-stop from a day of shopping.
Or further West, enjoy Afternoon Tea whilst enjoying magnificent views across to Carmarthen Bay from the recently, and beautifully, refurbished Mansion House Llansteffan. A little way away, just outside Dylan Thomas' Laugharne, you'll find the luxury Corran Resort & Spa. And as you can guess from the name, here you can tie in your sublime tea and cakes with a relaxing spa experience.
So, what about something a little different?
Well, how does Afternoon Tea on a steam railway sound? Gwili Railway offers you the experience whilst chugging away through the gorgeous countryside near Carmarthen, absolutely magical. Or a Mad Hatters themed one at Llety Cynin in St Clears, where for 2018 they've created an unusual but very tasty tea with their own jammy dodgers, candy floss and honeycomb! Or if you fancy a traditional version, they serve that too.
Finally, brand new to our line-up is Heavenly Chocolate Emporium in Llandeilo. After the success of their recent one-off Mother's Day Afternoon Tea, they're organising more on set dates during the year, with the next one as we write this being 8th April. If you're not familiar with it, Heavenly make, serve and sell the most wonderful chocolate, ice-cream and desserts... so this is one that we're very keen to tick off our list!
